António Mira has been appointed as an Executive Board Member of the Portuguese-Saudi Business Council, following an invitation from Abílio Alagôa da Silva, CEO of the Council. The official establishment of this institution on January 13th marks a key milestone in strengthening economic relations between Portugal and Saudi Arabia.
Operating under the Federation of Saudi Chambers and led by Alwalid Albaltan, President of the Saudi-Portuguese Business Council, this initiative aims to foster new opportunities in trade, investment, and strategic partnerships between the two nations.
The bilateral relationship between Portugal and Saudi Arabia has continued to expand, particularly in sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, technology, healthcare, and tourism. With Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 presenting significant investment opportunities, Portugal’s strategic position in Europe makes it a valuable gateway for Saudi investors.
The newly formed Business Council will serve as a platform for enhancing collaboration, facilitating business connections, and creating opportunities for companies from both countries.
